Is the flu shot covered by my insurance?
Medicare Part B covers the flu shot at $0 cost. Most commercial plans (Aetna, Blue Cross, United Healthcare, Cigna, Humana) also cover it fully. Call 212-317-0828 to verify your specific plan before coming in.
When is the best time to get a flu shot?
September through November is ideal — immunity builds over 2 weeks and peaks when flu season hits in December–February. That said, getting vaccinated later in the season still provides meaningful protection. Walk in anytime.
Is there a high-dose flu shot for seniors?
Yes. The high-dose flu vaccine (Fluzone HD) is available for patients 65 and older and provides stronger immune response. Ask for it when you walk in, or call 212-317-0828 to confirm availability.
Can I get a flu shot on Saturday?
Yes. We're open Saturday 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at 1658 3rd Avenue, Upper East Side NYC 10128. Walk-ins welcome, no appointment needed.
Can I get the flu shot if I'm feeling a little under the weather?
If you have a mild cold or mild symptoms, you can usually still get vaccinated. If you have a fever or feel significantly ill, wait until you've recovered. Zimo will assess you when you come in and advise accordingly.
