Common Questions

RSV Vaccine FAQ

Where can I get an RSV vaccine near me on the Upper East Side?
At Healarian Pharmacy, 1658 3rd Avenue near 93rd Street, NYC 10128, a 4-minute walk from the 96th Street Q and 6 station. Walk in, no appointment needed: Mon–Fri 10am–6pm, Sat 9am–12pm. Call 212-317-0828 with any questions.
Which RSV vaccine do you have?
We carry Abrysvo, the RSV vaccine made by Pfizer. It is approved for older adults, for younger adults at higher risk, and during pregnancy.
Who should get the RSV vaccine?
Current CDC guidance recommends it for all adults 75 and older, and for adults 50 to 74 who are at higher risk of severe RSV, for example with heart or lung disease or some other long-term conditions. Ask our pharmacist whether you qualify.
Can I get the RSV vaccine while pregnant?
Yes. Abrysvo is given between 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy, from September through January, to help protect your baby in the first months after birth. Talk with your OB first, then walk in. Bring your insurance card.
Does Medicare cover the RSV vaccine?
Yes, under Medicare Part D, not Part B. For most people with Part D it costs $0 when the pharmacy bills your Part D plan, so bring your Part D card. Call 212-317-0828 and we can check your plan.
Do I need an RSV vaccine every year?
No. For adults it is currently a single dose, not a yearly shot. If you already had an RSV vaccine, tell the pharmacist.
Do I need an appointment for the RSV vaccine?
No. Walk in anytime during business hours. Print the vaccine intake form and bring it filled out to save time at the counter.
Can I get the RSV vaccine with my flu shot or COVID vaccine?
Often, yes. Ask the pharmacist when you walk in. See our flu shot and COVID-19 vaccine pages.
